Friends and Foes Unite

Dear Alumni Soccer Players, Friends and Families,

Since 2004, West High School and South High School have reunited and come together each year to play a soccer game in the name of Scott Johnson, a former South High soccer player, and to re-live the fierce soccer rivalry that existed between the two high schools. The event has been a huge success.  We have raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Lymphoma Research Foundation, which we have donated in the name of our teammate and friend.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite West High and South High Soccer Alums to participate. All players who played in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s are invited to play.  Please contact any other players who we are unable to get in touch with for previous events.  The format of the game (or games) remains flexible each year; however, we would like to start collecting your RSVP as soon as possible. Click on this link for the Flyer.

Plans are to have the game played at the same location each year:  Nansen Field in Rolling Hills. We expect this event to occur in late May or early June of each year. Further details will always appear on this website, including final dates, times and the game format. Net proceeds will benefit the Lymphoma Research Foundation in the name of Scott Johnson.

Youth Of The Alumni (YOTA) was added in 2007!  The "YOTA" soccer game follows the alumni game. It is open to boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 17 who's parents are soccer alums. More details on the YOTA Game are shown on the YOTA page.

So remember, the earlier we receive your RSVP, the smoother game day goes.  Please take a moment to click on the links for information, download and fill out the Registration and Waiver Forms and return them with a check made out to "Renew The Rivalry". The address:
